Works as advertised. Great fun after an extremely simple task of hooking up the CW paddle :-)

At last some way to practice CW from the privacy of my own home without having to deal with QRM or QRN or propagation.

Of course the goal is to learn CW so it doesn't get in the way for tackling the challenges of "real radio". :-)

Cool program. A lot more fun than other ways I have used to practice morse. Keep up the good work.

Great program Pierre. Definitely will be back to re-learn the morse code I've forgotten since I passed the test.

great job Pierre. I really like it, the only thing i have to do is to connect my junker to it. My ts440 doesn't even have a electronic keyer and Cwirc does.... hi.
Keep on going with the development. I think i migrate totally from MS?>+_+ to my gentoo linux, now i have this (hi).

cwirc is a wonderful program, but I think it would be a bit better if it worked without lagging, and if I had a real key to feed it with. Well done, anyhow.

Thanks for writing and supporting such great software! This is a great way to learn CW, and practice with increasing speeds.

As a former ham looking to get back into the hobby, but without upsetting the neighbors in my townhouse complex, this looks like just the ticket!!!

Looking forward to some CW contacts on the Internet!

I'm a new ham just beginning to learn CW, but a longtime Linux/Unix and Internet user. This is such an elegant solution! Using IRC is just the right way to do this. Looking forward to future QSOs as I learn... and yeah, I can't afford 100W HF gear at the moment either. :) Someday.

Used it to learn for the license test - and passed the test :-)
Aside of that it's just a great idea for anybody who doesn't have the guts to blow 100W into neighbour's TV at prime time ;-)

I think what Pierre has done is really great. He's opened up a whole other world to people who would otherwise have never been exposed to CW.

I find it great fun and wish I had more time to devote to this new hobby!

This (unique) morse code over irc software just rocks !
I never used morse code before, and learnt it using CWirc.
Now, I can do CW without having a real rig, or even having a license.
It has tons of nice features like straight or iambic keying, propagation simulation and much more.
Anyone interested in CW HAS to try it. It's a LOT of fun !

Thanks a lot to f8ejf for that very nice piece of software, and for making me discover CW.

hi cwirc. This is great fun. Love the iambic keyer. Very good for having a nice qso even when radio propogation is bad or noisy bands. And very cool gui with nice s-meter and key. Keep up the good work.
