Who ?

Women with greater deprivation coming from a variety of social, economic and ethnic backgrounds, widowed, divorced or abused and those who have traveled from rural villages, struggling to make a living for themselves and their children, come under our targeted group.

Tara helps them to be self supportive by training and empowering them.

 

 

Why did she start this ?

A few years ago she got cancer in her belly. She felt so attacked in being a woman that the moment she survived, she felt it to be her personal obligation to reach out to woman in need.

She could not see anymore how a lot of them still have to live and being mistreated by man and society. She speaks out loud about what she sees and what she wants to change. Till now, she screams alone, because most other woman’s are afraid to speak, to lose the little they have.

Because of the caste system, most woman do not get education, the high cast keeps the price very high.
But she does everything she can to educate the woman, open there view on life and the world and make sure their children can go to school.

She raises her own children, with all the support of her husband Khim, in a different way and does not live by the spoken and unspoken rules. Her children will put this further, and the woman who works in the project, will tell and teach their children. So slowly slowly, things for woman will change.
